Due to the diligence and professionalism of our nursing and healthcare team, we are pleased to report that we are currently COVID 19 free and are taking new admissions for both permanent and respite care at Glebe Court.
Glebe Court is a 51 bed home in West Wickham, Kent. We provide specialist nursing care and support for older people as an integral part of Glebe Housing Association’s housing, support and care complex in the grounds of Bencurtis Park.
When they first move in, each resident has a tailored care plan which is created alongside friends and family. We review care plans on a regular basis so we can meet resident’s changing needs and continue to promote their independence.
Our dedicated team of Nurses and carers are on hand 24 hours a day to provide support to residents. Our care can range from helping people with tasks of daily living including washing and dressing, to more advanced mobility problems, end of life care and care to residents living with dementia. We are committed to making sure our residents receive a high standard of care and are treated with dignity and respect.
Our staff all receive comprehensive training and are supported with their continuous professional development. Our Nurses and carers are passionate about the care they provide and are encouraged to promote independence. We ensure our residents have access to local GPs and health services such as dentists, opticians and chiropodists.
Residents have an active voice in how services are provided.
Our respite stay is for a minimum of fourteen days. Staying for respite is useful for people who want to experience our care home before committing to move in permanently. We also find people book respite when their family or carers are going away on holiday, to give peace of mind that their loved one is in a safe and secure environment.
All of our rooms are en suite and are fully furnished and include a bed, wardrobe, curtains, bedside table and chair.
We encourage residents to personalise their room with their own belongings so they can create a homely feel and make it their own. We also have a few double rooms which can accommodate two people.
We have guest wi-fi access throughout our care home and each room has a television aerial and an emergency call system in the bedroom and bathroom. We also offer residents a pendant to wear which is linked to the call system.

We are registered as a dementia care provider with the CQC and we strive to support people to live well with dementia.
All of our Nurses and carers receive dementia training, and we to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia. Each new resident will have their needs assessed before moving into our care home.
End of Life Care
We provide end of life care at Glebe Court and we work closely with St. Christopher’s hospice for end of life support working with the “Steps for Success” model. We also have monthly training meetings with St. Christopher’s where we work through sessions ensuring best practice and lessons learned. Knowing that you or your loved one can stay in familiar surroundings often brings comfort and peace at this time.
Our dedicated staff are trained to deliver this special care and do so with compassion, understanding and empathy. We work closely with local hospices, GPs and district nurses to make sure your loved one has everything they need to be comfortable and we help to make sure any spiritual needs are met.

The CQC Inspection Report dated 25 January 2018, following an unannounced visit on 9-10 November 2017 resulted in an overall rating of GOOD being awarded across all the standards.
We achieved our target to maintain our performance to no less than ‘good’ in all areas and will now strive to achieve ‘outstanding’ scores.
